The Transient Realm an Age of Sigmar Narrative Blog

        It was the Skaven of Clan Skryre that first arrived on the Transient Isles via a gnawhole. Due to the constant fluctuations of ethereal energy that permeates the islands the gnawholes became dangerously unstable even by Skaven standards. The Arch-Warlock Nymm Dreadspark embarked on a quest to seize and capture ancient realm gates that long been dormant across the Transient Isles in order to bring in more Skaven to the conflict.         It is rumored that Samoth of the Skull-Fiend tribe had sacrificed his most trusted lieutenants in ritual combat in order for him and the rest of his warband to gain passage to the transient isles how it was achieved remains a mystery.   ***Pictures Coming Soon***

  Welcome to my Age of Sigmar narrative blog, The Transient Realm. The goal of this blog is to chronicle an ongoing story for the conquest of the Transient Isles. A group of islands magically suspended in the sky over a vast sea in the realm of Hysh. This was the setting for the Spire of Dawn Age of Sigmar boxed set released by Games Workshop, it was my first step into AoS, I have loved the Skaven since the Advanced Heroquest days. In my opinion this boxset was the best jump off point for anyone who wanted to start a Skaven or Swifthawk Agents army for Age of Sigmar.     My main drive in the hobby is to play entertaining battles that bring a story to life with nicely painted armies. Another aspect I enjoy is the opportunity to create my own lore to fit in to the larger universe of Age of Sigmar.
